Behind the Scenes: Winter Photoshoot
We wrapped the winter content shoot last week, and it was equal parts chaos and magic in the studio.
The theme this year leaned into cozy contrasts: deep evergreens, frosted glass, warm candle glow against cool blues, and plenty of texture from wool blankets, pine branches, and brushed metal props. Everything was styled to feel like a high-end holiday cabin kitchen—inviting but elevated.
Key setups we captured:
Morning light series: Peppermint bark and spiked eggnog truffles on a marble slab with soft window light and steam rising from fresh cocoa mugs.
Macro details: Close-ups of sea salt flakes on caramels, crystallized honey drizzle on baklava bites, and sugar-dusted gummies catching sparkles.
Action shots: Hands piping meringue on yuzu tartlets, pouring hot syrup over fresh baklava, and unmolding violet gummies.
Overhead flat lays: Ingredients arranged around finished edibles—pistachios spilling from bowls, citrus zest curls, matcha powder dustings, and subtle props like vintage cocktail glasses for the spiked series.
The freezer room made its debut too—doors open with organized shelves of labeled batches glowing under LED strips. We got some great "behind the production" shots there.
Biggest challenge: Keeping chocolate from melting under lights. We worked fast, swapped in fresh pieces constantly, and kept a mini fridge nearby for resets.
Favorite moment: The final shot of the day—dark chocolate chili bark breaking into pieces mid-air with chili flakes suspended. Took about 30 tries but worth it.
All this will roll out across the winter drops starting next week. The visuals turned out richer than last year, and we can't wait to pair them with the recipes.
