BLOOD ORANGE & CLOVE TAVERN CIDER 🍊🕯️

A vibrant and warming winter cider that pairs the deep, ruby-red acidity of blood oranges with the intense, aromatic spice of whole cloves. This drink is designed to be served steaming hot in a heavy mug, filling the air with a festive scent that defines the tavern atmosphere during the darkest months of the year.

RECIPE INFO:

Category: Beverage / Hot Cider

Difficulty: Easy

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 15 minutes (simmering)

Servings: 1

THC per serving: Approximately 10mg THC per serving

TERPENE PAIRING:

Best paired with strains high in Limonene or Myrcene. Limonene accentuates the sharp, citrus punch of the blood orange, while Myrcene complements the sweet, herbal undertones of the warm cider and cloves.

DOSAGE INFORMATION:

Each serving contains approximately 10mg THC. This is a moderate dose. Adjust based on your personal tolerance and the potency of your tincture.

PLEASE CONSUME RESPONSIBLY AND START LOW, GO SLOW!

Keep out of reach of children and pets. Effects may take 30-90 minutes to onset. Wait at least 2 hours before considering additional consumption. Do not drive or operate machinery.

INGREDIENTS:

 * 10mg THC total cannabis tincture

 * 6 oz unfiltered apple cider

 * 2 oz fresh-squeezed blood orange juice

 * 3 whole cloves

 * 1 cinnamon stick

 * 1 tsp brown sugar or honey (optional)

 * Garnish: A slice of blood orange studded with cloves and a cinnamon stick

INSTRUCTIONS:

 * In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the apple cider, blood orange juice, whole cloves, and cinnamon stick.

 * Bring the mixture to a very gentle simmer—do not let it reach a rolling boil.

 * Simmer for 10 minutes to allow the spices to infuse and the flavors to meld.

 * Remove from heat and stir in the brown sugar or honey until dissolved.

 * Add the cannabis tincture (10mg) and stir well to incorporate.

 * Pour the hot cider into a pre-warmed tavern mug or glass.

 * Garnish with a studded blood orange slice and the cinnamon stick.

CHEF TIPS:

The Orange: If blood oranges are out of season, a regular Cara Cara or naval orange works well, though you will lose the signature deep red color.

The Heat: Be careful not to boil the cider after adding the tincture, as excessive heat can degrade the THC and alter the potency.

The Mug: Warm your mug by rinsing it with hot water before pouring the cider in; this keeps the drink hot for the duration of your session.

Serve hot. Enjoy the Blood Orange & Clove Tavern Cider responsibly 🍊
