CAMPFIRE SMORES SAZERAC MOCKTAIL 🔥🍫
A sophisticated, smoky, and cannabis-infused take on the New Orleans classic. This recipe captures the nostalgic flavors of a toasted marshmallow over a fire, utilizing non-alcoholic absinthe for an herbal rinse and smoked maple syrup for depth. Infused with cannabis tincture, it is a slow-sipping, complex drink with a campfire finish.
RECIPE INFO:
Category: Beverage / Sazerac
Difficulty: Medium
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes
Servings: 1
THC per serving: Approximately 10mg THC per serving
TERPENE PAIRING:
Best paired with strains high in Humulene or Myrcene. Humulene provides a woodsy, hoppy aroma that anchors the smoky maple, while Myrcene adds a soft, sweet earthiness that complements the toasted marshmallow profile.
DOSAGE INFORMATION:
Each serving contains approximately 10mg THC. This is a moderate dose. Adjust based on your personal tolerance and the potency of your tincture.
PLEASE CONSUME RESPONSIBLY AND START LOW, GO SLOW!
Keep out of reach of children and pets. Effects may take 30-90 minutes to onset. Wait at least 2 hours before considering additional consumption. Do not drive or operate machinery.
INGREDIENTS:
* 10mg THC total cannabis tincture
* 1 tsp non-alcoholic absinthe (for rinsing)
* 1/2 oz smoked maple syrup
* 3 oz strong chilled black tea (or NA rye whiskey alternative)
* 3 dashes Peychaud’s-style bitters (non-alcoholic)
* 1 lemon twist
* Garnish: A lightly toasted marshmallow on a cocktail pick
INSTRUCTIONS:
* Chill a rocks glass (Sazerac glass) in the freezer for 5-10 minutes.
* Once chilled, pour the non-alcoholic absinthe into the glass. Swirl it around to coat the entire interior and discard the excess.
* In a separate mixing glass filled with ice, combine the smoked maple syrup, chilled black tea (or NA spirit), and bitters.
* Add the cannabis tincture (10mg).
* Stir well for about 30 seconds until the mixture is very cold and slightly diluted.
* Strain the mixture into the prepared, absinthe-rinsed glass. This drink is traditionally served "neat" (no ice in the glass).
* Express the lemon twist over the drink by squeezing it to release the oils, then rub the rim of the glass with the peel and discard.
* Garnish with a toasted marshmallow to complete the "s'mores" experience.
CHEF TIPS:
The Rinse: The absinthe rinse is crucial. It provides a haunting anise and herbal aroma that balances the heavy smoke of the maple syrup.
Smoked Syrup: If you cannot find smoked maple syrup, you can add one tiny drop of liquid smoke to high-quality maple syrup.
The Tea: Using a bold tea like Lapsang Souchong will double down on the campfire smoke flavor, making it even more authentic to a Sazerac.
Serve immediately. Enjoy the Campfire S'mores Sazerac responsibly 🔥🍫
