Cannabis-Infused "Cocoon" Chamomile & Honey Sleep Gummies


A Note on Dosing: This recipe makes approximately 50 small gummies. We calculate based on a 15% THC flower. You must calculate your own dose based on your cannabis potency. This is a gentle, therapeutic sleep aid—each tiny bear is a precisely dosed whisper of calm, designed to ease you both into a deep, peaceful rest.


Approximate Total Infusion (using 0.5g of 15% THC flower): ~18mg THC in the entire batch. Per gummy: ~0.3-0.4mg THC. This is a microdose, perfect for sleep support without next-day grogginess. Adjust your cannabis amount for desired potency, but for sleep, lower is often better.

Step 1: The Cannabis-Infused Chamomile Honey


Ingredients:


· 0.5 grams cannabis flower (choose a high-Myrcene, high-Linalool strain for sedation)

· 1/2 cup mild, high-quality honey (clover or orange blossom)

· 2 tablespoons dried chamomile flowers (or 2 chamomile tea bags, cut open)

· 1 teaspoon dried lavender buds (optional, for enhanced calm)


Decarboxylation Method:


1. Preheat oven to 225°F (107°C).

2. Finely grind cannabis flower and spread on parchment-lined baking sheet.

3. Bake for 35-40 minutes until lightly browned and fragrant. Cool completely.


Infusion Method:


1. In a small saucepan, gently warm the honey over the lowest possible heat until it becomes thin and runny. Do not simmer.

2. Remove from heat. Stir in the decarboxylated cannabis, chamomile, and lavender (if using).

3. Cover and let steep for 2 hours, maintaining warmth by placing the saucepan in a warm water bath if needed. Keep below 160°F (71°C). The longer steep allows the chamomile to fully infuse.

4. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve lined with cheesecloth into a glass measuring cup. Press very gently. Discard solids.

5. This is your Cannabis-Infused Chamomile Honey. Set aside.

Step 2: The Gummy Assembly


Ingredients:


· 1/2 cup cold water, divided

· 1/4 cup of your Cannabis-Infused Chamomile Honey

· 3 tablespoons gelatin powder (high-quality, grass-fed)

· 1/4 cup tart cherry juice concentrate (natural source of melatonin)

· 1 tablespoon lemon juice

· 1/4 teaspoon sunflower or soy lecithin (for emulsification)

· Optional: 1/2 teaspoon magnesium glycinate powder (for enhanced sleep support)


Equipment:


· Small saucepan

· Whisk

· Silicone gummy molds (bear, heart, or moon shapes work beautifully)

· Dropper or small measuring cup with spout

· Fine-mesh strainer

· Glass jar for storage


Method:


1. Bloom the Gelatin:


· In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup of the cold water with the gelatin powder. Stir gently and let sit for 5-10 minutes until thick and spongy. This is "blooming."


2. Heat the Base:


· In a small saucepan, combine the remaining 1/4 cup water, your Cannabis-Infused Chamomile Honey, tart cherry juice concentrate, lemon juice, and lecithin.

· Warm over low heat, whisking constantly, until the honey is fully dissolved and the mixture is steaming. Do not boil.


3. Incorporate the Gelatin:


· Add the bloomed gelatin to the warm liquid. Whisk vigorously until the gelatin is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth. No lumps should remain.

· If using magnesium powder, whisk it in now until dissolved.

· Continue whisking over low heat for 2-3 minutes. Do not let it simmer.


4. Strain & Pour:


· Place your fine-mesh strainer over a glass measuring cup with a spout. Pour the mixture through to catch any undissolved gelatin or plant particles.

· Immediately pour or use a dropper to fill your silicone gummy molds.


5. Set:


· Carefully transfer the filled molds to the refrigerator. Chill for at least 2 hours, until completely firm and springy.


6. Unmold & Store:


· Gently pop the gummies out of the molds. They should release easily.

· Place them in a single layer on a parchment-lined tray and let them air-dry at room temperature for 12-24 hours. This creates a slightly chewier texture and prevents mold.

· Store in an airtight glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks, or freeze for up to 3 months.
