Step 1 — Decarboxylation

Ingredients

7 g cannabis flower

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 240°F (115°C).
  2. Break cannabis into small pieces.
  3. Spread evenly on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake 40 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  5. Remove and allow to cool completely.

Step 2 — Cannabis Butter Infusion

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup water
Decarboxylated cannabis

Instructions

  1. Add butter and water to saucepan on low heat.
  2. Stir in decarboxylated cannabis once butter melts.
  3. Simmer gently 2–3 hours, stirring occasionally.
  4. Keep heat low and avoid boiling.
  5. Strain through cheesecloth into container.
  6. Refrigerate until butter solidifies.
  7. Remove hardened butter.

Step 3 — Crispy Mushrooms

Ingredients

1 lb button or cremini mushrooms, halved
¾ cup flour
¾ cup cold water
½ tsp salt
½ tsp garlic powder
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Pat mushrooms dry.
  2. Whisk flour, water, salt, and garlic powder into batter.
  3. Dip mushrooms into batter.
  4. Roll in panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry mushrooms 3–4 minutes until golden.
  7. Drain on paper towels.

Step 4 — Teriyaki Glaze

Ingredients

2 tbsp cannabis butter
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp mirin or rice vinegar
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp grated ginger

Instructions

  1. Melt cannabis butter on low heat.
  2. Add soy sauce, sugar, mirin, garlic, and ginger.
  3. Simmer 2–3 minutes until glossy and slightly thick.

Step 5 — Toss and Finish

Instructions

  1. Place crispy mushrooms in large bowl.
  2. Pour warm teriyaki glaze over mushrooms.
  3. Toss gently until coated.
  4. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced scallions if desired.
