Cannabis-Infused Emerald Shamrock Mozzarella Sticks with Basil Ranch

Golden, crispy, pull-apart mozzarella sticks built for late-night St. Patrick’s Day snacking. These are coated in seasoned breadcrumbs, fried until perfectly crunchy, and served with an emerald cannabis-infused basil ranch. The infusion lives entirely in the dipping sauce for consistent dosing and maximum cheese pull.

A Note on Dosing

This recipe makes 20 mozzarella sticks (5 servings).

Using 1.5g of 15% THC flower:

~55mg THC total (infused into ranch)
~11mg per serving (4 sticks + sauce)

For lighter servings:
• 1g flower → ~7–8mg per serving
• 2g flower → ~14–16mg per serving

Step 1: Cannabis-Infused Buttermilk (For Ranch)

Ingredients

• 1.5g cannabis flower
• 1 cup buttermilk

Decarboxylation

Preheat oven to 225°F (107°C).
Bake finely ground cannabis for 35–40 minutes. Cool completely.

Infusion

Warm buttermilk gently to 160°F (do not simmer).
Add decarboxylated cannabis.
Maintain very low heat for 1 hour.
Strain thoroughly and chill.

This buttermilk contains the full THC content.

Step 2: Emerald Basil Ranch (Infused)

Ingredients

• 3/4 cup cannabis-infused buttermilk
• 1/2 cup mayonnaise
• 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh basil
• 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• Pinch salt

Whisk until smooth and slightly thick.
Refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving.

Step 3: Mozzarella Sticks (Non-Infused)

Ingredients

• 20 mozzarella string cheese sticks, halved
• 1 cup flour
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 1 1/2 cups seasoned breadcrumbs
• Oil for frying

Freeze cheese sticks 30 minutes before breading.

Dredge in flour, dip in egg, coat in breadcrumbs.
Repeat egg and breadcrumb step for extra crunch.

Freeze breaded sticks 30 minutes.

Fry at 350°F for 60–90 seconds until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.
