Step 1: Decarboxylation
Ingredients
3g cannabis flower
Method
- Preheat oven to 225°F (107°C)
- Break cannabis into small pieces
- Spread evenly on parchment lined tray
- Bake 35–40 minutes
- Cool completely
Step 2: Infuse Butter Base
Ingredients
½ cup unsalted butter
Decarboxylated cannabis
Method
- Melt butter in saucepan on low heat
- Add cannabis
- Maintain 160–180°F
- Infuse 2 hours, stirring occasionally
- Strain through cheesecloth
Step 3: Build Maple Bourbon Glaze
Ingredients
½ cup pure maple syrup
2 tbsp bourbon
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp Dijon mustard
½ tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp sea salt
Method
- Add maple syrup to saucepan
- Stir in bourbon and vinegar
- Add mustard, paprika, and salt
- Simmer gently 5 minutes
Step 4: Finish the Glaze
Method
- Stir ½ cup infused butter into warm glaze
- Whisk until glossy and emulsified
- Allow to thicken slightly
Storage
Refrigerate in sealed jar
Good for 2 weeks
