Preheat oven to 240°F. Spread plant material evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Heat for 40 minutes. This step is necessary to activate cannabinoids before they are infused into the vegetable glycerin base.

Infusion Instructions

Combine decarboxylated material with food-grade vegetable glycerin in a jar. Place the jar in a water bath maintained at 160°F for 4 to 6 hours. Shake occasionally. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve and store in a cool, dark place.

Preparation Instructions

Chill two tall soda fountain glasses in the freezer for at least 15 minutes prior to assembly.

In each chilled glass, add 1/4 cup of the dark cherry reduction and half of the fresh pitted cherry halves.

Distribute the cannabis-infused tincture evenly between the two glasses.

Slowly pour 1 cup of chilled cream soda into each glass, stirring very gently to incorporate the tincture and cherry reduction without losing carbonation.

Carefully place one large scoop of vanilla bean ice cream into each glass. The soda will foam up slightly to create the classic float head.

Top with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry if desired. Serve immediately with a long spoon and a straw.
