Forest Infused Herb Butter

Pinene-rich, woodsy, and stupidly versatile — this is the savory compound butter that makes everything taste like you just stepped out of an evergreen forest with perfect clarity. Rosemary, thyme, and a touch of piney sage carry the terpene profile while cannabis brings the calm. One swipe on a steak or roasted potato and you’re breathing deeper.

Makes ~1 cup (16 tablespoons)

Active time: 15 minutes

Total time: 2½ hours + infusion

Dosage: exactly 10 mg THC per tablespoon (160 mg total in the butter)

Infusion (start 10 days ahead or use your existing stash)

Decarboxylation

4.58 g cannabis flower testing 22 % THC

240 °F for 40 minutes, cool in oven.

Infused herb butter (makes 1 cup / 160 mg usable THC)

1 lb highest-quality unsalted butter (European-style if possible)

3 large sprigs fresh rosemary

6 sprigs fresh thyme

8 fresh sage leaves

1 small shallot, minced

1 tsp cracked black pepper

4.58 g decarbed flower

1 tsp sunflower lecithin granules

1. Melt the entire pound of butter gently in a saucepan with rosemary, thyme, sage, shallot, and pepper. Let it barely bubble for 10 minutes so the herbs release their oils.

2. Pour everything hot into a large mason jar with the decarbed flower and lecithin. Water-bath at 185 °F for exactly 2 hours, shaking every 20 minutes.

3. Strain hot through a coffee filter. You’ll get ~1 cup of gorgeous green-gold butter. Chill solid.

To finish the compound butter

1 cup (160 mg THC) infused herb butter, softened to room temp

1 tbsp finely minced fresh rosemary

1 tbsp finely minced fresh thyme

1 tsp finely minced fresh sage

½ tsp flaky sea salt

½ tsp fresh cracked black pepper

Optional: zest of ½ lemon for brightness

Whip the softened infused butter with a fork or small mixer until fluffy. Fold in the fresh herbs, salt, pepper, and lemon zest if using. Taste — it should hit like a pine forest after rain.

Roll into a tight log in parchment or plastic wrap, twist the ends like a candy. Chill 2 hours until firm, or freeze up to 3 months.

Serving ideas (10 mg per tablespoon)

- Melt over grilled ribeye or pork chops

- Toss with roasted potatoes or carrots

- Spread on warm sourdough or garlic bread

- Finish scrambled eggs or risotto

- Stir into hot pasta with Parmesan

10 mg THC per tablespoon.

Keeps in the fridge 2 weeks, freezer 6 months.

Forest air in butter form — clarity never tasted this good.
