Kitchen Sessions: Ask Us Anything Recap
(the live in-person edition)
Last weekend we finally did it – shut off the phones, opened the kitchen doors, and hosted the first live Ask Us Anything session. Twenty of you showed up, notebooks in hand, ready to grill us on everything edibles. No screens, no DMs, just real talk over fresh-baked testers and coffee.
The room smelled like brown butter and lemon bars the whole time. Here’s what you asked most, and what we answered.
Most asked: “How do I stop greening out on edibles?”
We passed around the “emergency kit” – black peppercorns to chew, lemon wedges, CBD drops. Consensus: start stupid low (5–10 mg), wait the full 2–3 hours, eat with fat to slow it down. One person admitted to the classic “60-minute redose mistake” – everyone laughed, no judgment.
“What’s the absolute best fat for infusions?”
We had Kerrygold, ghee, refined coconut oil, and MCT on the counter. Blind taste test in mini blondies. Kerrygold won by a landslide for flavor and texture. Ghee took second for potency and shelf life. Verdict: use Kerrygold unless you need neutral/long-lasting.
“Why do some batches hit way harder?”
Live demo: two identical-looking brownies, one from flower, one from rosin. Same weight, same method. Rosin one floored half the room. Lesson: material variance is real. Switch to rosin or distillate if you want consistency.
“Best tricks to kill weed taste?”
We plated lemon bars (live rosin), coffee caramels, matcha bark, and ube macarons. Everyone agreed: live rosin + bold flavors (citrus, coffee, spice, chocolate) = zero green notes.
“How to make edibles hit faster?”
Nano spray demo – 15-minute onset vs 90-minute traditional. Minds blown. Also: empty stomach + split dosing.
“High tolerance crew – what doses actually work?”
Half the room raised hands. Shared stories: daily smokers needing 150–300 mg for strong effects, dabbers pushing 400+. Advice: mini tolerance breaks (even 72 hours helps), rotate formats, always titrate up slowly.
“Favorite thing you’ve ever made?”
Unanimous: Live Resin Lemon Bars. We had a fresh tray – gone in minutes.
The energy was everything we hoped. Real questions, real tasting, real stories swapped over the counter.
We’re already planning the next one – bigger space, more seats, same rules: show up ready to eat and ask anything.
Thank you to everyone who came.
The kitchen felt alive in a whole new way.
See you at the next session.
Doors always open for this crew.
