Recipe (makes about 50 gummies)
Ingredients:
- 1 cup canna-simple syrup (from above)
- 1/4 cup green Chartreuse
- 1/4 cup gin
- 1/4 cup maraschino liqueur
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- Green food coloring (optional, a few drops for herbal hue)
- 6 tablespoons gelatin (250 bloom for firm chew)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 1 tablespoon citric acid (for coating, optional for tart edge)
Steps:
1. In saucepan, combine canna-simple syrup, green Chartreuse, gin, maraschino liqueur, and lime juice.
2. Add green food coloring if using.
3. Sprinkle gelatin over mixture, let bloom 5 minutes.
4. Heat on low, stirring constantly until gelatin fully dissolves (do not boil).
5. Pour into silicone gummy molds (1-2 teaspoon per cavity).
6. Refrigerate 30-60 minutes until set.
7. Unmold gummies.
8. Mix sugar and citric acid in bowl, toss gummies to coat for sparkle and classic Last Word brightness.
9. Let air-dry uncovered 24 hours for slight skin (classic gummy texture).
Each gummy contains approximately 10mg THC (based on 10g of 15% THC flower divided into 50 pieces; actual potency varies—start with half a gummy and wait 2 hours). The herbal Chartreuse, botanical gin, cherry sweetness, and lime tartness recreate the Prohibition-era Last Word cocktail in gummy form—alcohol softens set slightly. Store in airtight container in fridge up to 2 weeks.
