THE COAL CHUTE (DARK CHOCOLATE & ESPRESSO NOG) ☕🌑

A heavy-hitting, dark, and decadent tavern mocktail designed for the deepest winter nights. This "nog" skips the fruit for a rich blend of bitter dark chocolate and bold espresso, creating a velvety drink that looks as dark as a coal mine and tastes like pure luxury. It’s a sophisticated, caffeine-boosted treat for a New Year's Eve midnight toast.

RECIPE INFO:

Category: Beverage / Dessert

Difficulty: Easy

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 5 minutes

Servings: 1

THC per serving: Approximately 10mg THC per serving

TERPENE PAIRING:

Best paired with strains high in Beta-Caryophyllene or Humulene. Caryophyllene matches the spicy bitterness of the dark cocoa, while the earthy, hoppy notes of Humulene ground the richness of the espresso.

DOSAGE INFORMATION:

Each serving contains approximately 10mg THC. This is a moderate dose. Adjust based on your personal tolerance and the potency of your syrup.

PLEASE CONSUME RESPONSIBLY AND START LOW, GO SLOW!

Keep out of reach of children and pets. Effects may take 30-90 minutes to onset. Wait at least 2 hours before considering additional consumption. Do not drive or operate machinery.

INGREDIENTS:

 * 10mg THC total cannabis syrup

 * 1 shot (1.5 oz) strong espresso or cold brew concentrate

 * 6 oz chocolate oat milk or full-fat milk

 * 1 tbsp dark cocoa powder (unsweetened)

 * 1/2 oz maple syrup

 * 1 pinch black sea salt (optional for color)

 * Fresh ice

 * Garnish: Whipped cream and a dusting of espresso powder

INSTRUCTIONS:

 * In a cocktail shaker, combine the espresso, chocolate milk, cocoa powder, and maple syrup.

 * Add the cannabis syrup (10mg) and a pinch of salt.

 * Fill with ice and shake vigorously for 20 seconds to froth the milk and dissolve the cocoa.

 * Strain into a heavy tavern glass filled with fresh ice.

 * Top with a dollop of whipped cream if desired.

 * Garnish with a fine dusting of espresso powder or a few coffee beans.

CHEF TIPS:

The Texture: For a thicker, more "nog-like" consistency, use chilled coconut cream or heavy cream instead of oat milk.

The Color: Using a high-quality "black" cocoa powder will give this drink a striking, ink-dark appearance true to its name.

The Heat: This can also be served hot! Simply steam the ingredients together (except the THC) and stir the syrup in at the very end.

Serve immediately. Enjoy The Coal Chute responsibly ☕🌑
