(this is how we make every batch now—no more 24-hour waits)
We spent six months testing every oil, temperature, and agitation trick until we hit 97–99 % extraction in exactly 2 hours with zero plant taste. Same potency as 24-hour sous-vide, but done before lunch.
What you need
- Decarbed flower or kief (240 °F / 40 min sealed)
- Refined coconut oil or MCT oil
- Liquid sunflower lecithin (2 % by weight of oil)
- A pressure cooker (Instant Pot works perfectly)
The 2-hour pressure method
1. Ratio
1 g decarbed material → 60 ml oil → 1.2 ml lecithin
(Scale up exactly—10 g / 600 ml / 12 ml works the same)
2. Combine
Put decarbed material + oil + lecithin in a heat-proof mason jar.
Stir well → lid finger-tight (not sealed hard).
3. Pressure cook
Place jar on trivet in Instant Pot.
Add 2 cups water to pot.
Manual / High Pressure / 120 minutes / Natural Release (about 30–40 min more).
4. Release & strain
When pressure drops, remove jar (hot!).
Strain immediately through 90-micron bag or coffee filter while scalding hot → squeeze hard.
Result
- 97–99 % extraction (lab confirmed)
- Crystal-clear oil, no green taste
- Total active time: 10 minutes
- Total clock time: ~2 hours 40 minutes (mostly hands-off)
Why it works so well
Pressure + 240–250 °F + lecithin + constant agitation from steam = perfect THC transfer in record time.
Same potency we used to get from 24-hour sous-vide, but now we can run three batches a day.
Comparison
Old 24-hour sous-vide: 96–98 % extraction
New 2-hour pressure: 97–99 % extraction
Taste test: identical, both clean
Pro tips
- Use refined coconut or MCT only—unrefined tastes weird at high heat.
- Natural release is mandatory—quick release drops temperature and extraction.
- Double batch works, triple starts lowering yield slightly.
This method changed everything in our kitchen.
Zero smell, zero waiting, same (or better) potency.
Try it once and you’ll never go back to long infusions again.
Game over.
