WINTER SAGE & PINEAPPLE TEW 🍍🌿

A bright, unexpected tavern refresher that pairs the tropical sweetness of pineapple with the savory, wintery aroma of fresh sage. This "tew" (an old term for a brewed drink) uses sage to ground the acidity of the pineapple, creating a sophisticated botanical blend that feels both exotic and deeply rooted in a hearthside setting.

RECIPE INFO:

Category: Beverage / Botanical

Difficulty: Easy

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes (including bruising time)

Servings: 1

THC per serving: Approximately 10mg THC per serving

TERPENE PAIRING:

Best paired with strains high in Alpha-Pinene or Terpinolene. Pinene highlights the resinous, herbal notes of the sage, while Terpinolene enhances the complex, floral sweetness of the pineapple.

DOSAGE INFORMATION:

Each serving contains approximately 10mg THC. This is a moderate dose. Adjust based on your personal tolerance and the potency of your tincture.

PLEASE CONSUME RESPONSIBLY AND START LOW, GO SLOW!

Keep out of reach of children and pets. Effects may take 30-90 minutes to onset. Wait at least 2 hours before considering additional consumption. Do not drive or operate machinery.

INGREDIENTS:

 * 10mg THC total cannabis tincture

 * 4 oz high-quality pineapple juice

 * 1/2 oz fresh lime juice

 * 1/2 oz sage simple syrup (or plain syrup muddled with sage)

 * 3 fresh sage leaves

 * 2 oz chilled club soda

 * Fresh ice

 * Garnish: A fresh sage leaf and a charred pineapple wedge

INSTRUCTIONS:

 * In a tavern glass or shaker, place two sage leaves and the simple syrup. Muddle gently just to bruise the leaves and release their aromatic oils.

 * Add the pineapple juice, lime juice, and the cannabis tincture (10mg).

 * Fill with ice and shake or stir vigorously to chill.

 * Strain into a clean tavern glass over fresh ice.

 * Top with the chilled club soda.

 * Garnish with a fresh sage leaf (slap it between your hands first to release the scent) and a pineapple wedge.

CHEF TIPS:

The Sage: Do not over-muddle the sage or it can become bitter and "grassy." A light bruising is all that is required.

The Char: For an authentic tavern feel, sear the pineapple wedge in a dry pan or with a kitchen torch until the edges are blackened; the smoky aroma pairs beautifully with the sage.

The Texture: If you prefer a frothier drink, shake the juice and syrup without the soda first to create a natural foam from the pineapple proteins.

Serve immediately. Enjoy the Winter Sage & Pineapple Tew responsibly 🍍🌿
